Clean up and review

A board where everything stays put stops telling you anything. Aevo helps with cleaning up in several places.

Review old tasks

If tasks have been open for more than 30 days, the list shows a note: "12 tasks have been open for more than 30 days."

  1. Click Review. The list now shows only those tasks.
  2. Go through them: complete, re-plan, pause or delete.
  3. "Show all" returns to the full list.

What you keep postponing

Two places show what you are putting off:

  • The yellow frame on the board: postponed three times or more, or the planned day is more than a week ago.
  • The card Often postponed in Insights.

After several postponements Aevo asks the next time: "Task still relevant?" Then you can delete it as well.

Insights

Open Insights on the left. It consists of cards:

Card Shows
Outlook how much work is open, when it would be done given your free time, and which deadlines do not fit: "needs 6 h, doable 4 h"
Goals every active goal with days left, forecast and "on track" or "behind schedule"
New versus completed per week, how many tasks were added and how many you finished
Deadlines kept how many tasks with a deadline were finished in time
Completed by project where your work went
Often postponed the tasks with the most postponements

The Outlook card is the most important one. If it lists "Deadlines that do not fit", you know before the deadline arrives.

Velocity

Part of Pro.

Velocity is its own section in Insights. It measures how much of your free time turns into completed tasks. Nobody runs a stopwatch: Aevo compares the effort of the tasks you ticked off on a day with that day's free time.

With Let the board use it Aevo applies the value to daily capacity. If you turned 70 percent of your free time into finished work over the last weeks, the board plans with 70 percent today. The outline shrinks accordingly.

The value only applies after five days with completed tasks. Tasks without effort do not count. More: Capacity.
