Connect a calendar
Part of Pro.
With a connected calendar the timeline shows your events, and Aevo works out how much time is free today. Aevo only reads. Nothing is changed in your calendar.
All three ways start under Settings › Calendars.
Google Calendar
- Click Google.
- Sign in to Google and allow access to the calendar.
- Under "Choose calendars" pick which calendars of the account should appear.
If the calendar box is not ticked when you give consent, Aevo cannot show any events. Connect the account again and tick it.
Microsoft 365
- Click Microsoft 365.
- Sign in with your Microsoft account and consent.
In some companies IT has to approve Aevo first. Aevo reports that with "Your IT administrator has to approve Aevo."
CalDAV
For Nextcloud, iCloud, Fastmail, mailbox.org and any other server that speaks CalDAV.
- Click CalDAV calendar.
- Enter account name, server URL, username and password or app token.
- Click Test connection and save.
Apple iCloud
- Username: your Apple ID
- Password: an app password from appleid.apple.com
- Server:
https://caldav.icloud.com/
Credentials are stored encrypted.
Tentative events
Events you only accepted tentatively carry the mark "Tentative". Under Settings › Calendars the switch Count tentative events decides whether they take up time. Switched off, they appear hatched and do not count against your free time.
Syncing
Aevo syncs Google Calendar and Microsoft 365 regularly by itself. The button on the right of the timeline, or "Sync all" in the settings, starts a sync by hand. That matters most for CalDAV.
Good to know
- "Count for availability" decides per calendar whether its events take up time.
- If you disconnect an account, its events disappear from Aevo. Tasks you created from events stay.
- If Pro ends, syncing pauses. The connection stays stored and resumes with Pro at once.
