Apps

In the browser

Aevo runs at aevo.so/app in any current browser. There is nothing to install.

macOS

The Mac app has the same scope as the browser version and runs on macOS 12 and later.

Install

  1. Download the app from aevo.so.
  2. Open the downloaded file and drag Aevo into the "Applications" folder.

Update. The app does not update itself. When there is a new version it tells you: "New version available". "Download new version" fetches it. Replace the app in the Applications folder with it. Very old versions eventually stop working with the server. Then the update is required, and the app says so.

Differences. Signing in to Google and Microsoft opens the browser and returns to the app afterwards. You drag files onto a task just as in the browser.

Microsoft Teams

With the Teams extension you turn a message into a task without leaving Teams.

Requirement. Microsoft 365 is connected in Aevo, with the same account you use in Teams. The steps are under Connect a calendar.

How it works

  1. In a chat or channel click "…" on a message, then More actions.
  2. Choose Create task in Aevo.
  3. The dialog fills the title with the first line, and the notes with the full text, the sender and a link to the message. Choose workspace and due date.
  4. Confirm.

The task is created at once. An open board shows it after the next reload or when you bring the window back to the front.

Limitations. The app only creates tasks. It does not send messages or notifications. Tasks are edited in Aevo. Changes are not posted back to Teams. Your organization's Teams admin may need to allow the app, and some organizations require admin consent for the Microsoft 365 connection.

Availability. The listing in the Teams store is currently being reviewed by Microsoft. Until it is approved, the extension is not yet available for installation there.
